Students
Imagine turning the challenges facing your region into innovative solutions. With TERRASCAPE, students are at the heart of change. This ERASMUS+ project opens the door to cutting-edge training in remote sensing, geomatics, and entrepreneurship, supported by leading digital tools, open-access satellite data, and guidance from European and African experts.
From theory to action, students will learn to use satellites such as Sentinel, SWOT, and GRACE to monitor droughts, floods, and the effects of climate change. They will participate in summer schools, hands-on workshops, student challenges, and mentoring activities to transform data into knowledge and knowledge into tangible impact for their regions.
The project will also offer them new career prospects. By strengthening ties with universities, companies, agencies, and innovation stakeholders, TERRASCAPE will promote entry into promising sectors, the creation of geospatial startups, and access to opportunities within public, private, or international organizations. More than just training, TERRASCAPE is a bridge to action, innovation, and commitment to sustainable development driven by universities.

Teachers
Enhance your skills and shape the next generation. Faculty members play a key role in TERRASCAPE. This ERASMUS+ project offers an intensive training program designed to help you master emerging space technologies and integrate this knowledge into your teaching.
Specialized training
Sessions in Europe on recent space missions (Sentinel-1/2/3, SWOT, GRACE-FO, Galileo).
Practical tools
Proficiency in proven open-source software (QGIS, SNAP, gLAB, RTKLIB) and advanced analysis methods (AI, Random Forest).
International exchanges
Sharing experiences and best practices with your European counterparts.
Sustainable autonomy
Post-project support to integrate these skills into your curricula.
Your key role: Once trained, you will pass on this knowledge to your students through updated course modules, summer schools, and hands-on projects. In doing so, you will help position your universities as centers of excellence in remote sensing and geomatics in West and Central Africa.
